It is common practice of politicians, whether reformers or demagogues, to arouse prejudice against a thing by giving it a bad name. An invidious name travels fast, is hard to correct and may hurt a worthy project. (pg. 22)

Comment: "Tax protestor" and "deadbeat" are examples of this.
